The Russian House in Dhaka held a week-long programme to mark the 65th anniversary of the launch of the first artificial Earth satellite Sputnik-1. The event included photos exhibition “The History of Russian Space Activities”, as well as a quiz competition and a seminar, attended by students from various schools and local educational institutions.
The Director of the Russian House in Dhaka Mr. Maxim Dobrokhotov handed over prizes to winners of the quiz competition. Mr. Dobrokhotov expressed hope that such educational events on space programs will encourage Bangladeshi youth to choose their future profession and take higher education in Russia.
