Noted writer and Shahjalal University of Science and Technology Professor Muhammad Zafar Iqbal said it’s impossible to virtually manipulate the electronic voting machine (EVM) from a technical point of view. He said this while talking to the media at the election commission complex in the capital on Wednesday (on May 25).
According to him, it’s impossible to see what is inside the EVM before starting the operation. It is up to them to decide whether to believe it or not. I will tell the political parties, if you can elect as you like by forming a new election commission, you will still use this machine. You will be benefitted.
“I asked them to open the circuits, it is impossible to manipulate the ICs virtually the way they are placed inside. Whether one believes it or not is a political matter. I’m talking about the technical thing. From a technical point of view, it is unlikely to be manipulated,” he said.
