A celebration of World Heart Day at United Healthcare

The slogan “Use heart for every heart” was used as the theme for World Heart Day in 2022. United Healthcare Services Limited celebrated this particular day specially to promote heart health and wish good health to all nation-wide heart patients. A rally was held on this occasion in the morning at United Hospital, MA Rashid Hospital in Jamalpur, and Medics in Dhanmondi in the presence of medical professionals, nurses, and other top officials. In order to provide free health screenings to the arriving patients, a heart disease health booth was opened at the event’s ending. United Healthcare Services Limited Director Medical Services- Dr. Mahbub Uddin Ahmed, United Hospital Chief Cardiac Surgeon and Director Cardiac Center and renowned Cardiac Surgeon – Dr. Jahangir Kabir, Senior Consultant and Cardiologist – Dr. Kaiser Nasrullah Khan, Dr. Fatema Begum, Dr. Reyan Anis, Dr. AM Shafique and senior consultant and cardiac surgeon – Dr. Sayedur Rahman, Dr. Rezaul Hassan and Dr. Abul Kalam Mohiuddin were present on this occasion.

Dr. Mahbub Uddin Ahmed said in the event, “United Cardiac Care Center is the best heart hospital in the country right now. For 16 years, we have operated as the most trusted organization in the private health industry. A real example of this is the management of heart disease. Currently, the majority of cardiac patients in our country receive medical care here. Many success stories including mechanical heart implant, ECMO, transcatheter aortic valve implant procedures have been created in United Hospital in Bangladesh for the first time. We now want to increase access to inexpensive, high-quality healthcare. We are announcing PTCA (stenting) bundle for just 95,000 taka and angiography package for just 20,000 Taka as part of this. Moreover, open heart surgery can be performed going forward for 2 lakh 50 thousand Taka in addition to the present management.”

Dr. Jahangir Kabir, the head of United Cardiac Center and a well-known cardiac surgeon in Bangladesh, officially launched these cost-effective heart care packages at the event. These heart procedures will be carried out by Dr. Samsun Nahar, Dr. Afreed Jahan, and Dr. Tunaggina Afrin, the successors of, the head consultant and renowned cardiologist of United Cardiac Care Center – Dr. NAM Momenuzzaman. It should be highlighted that Dr. Jahangir Kabir has previously conducted more than 25,000 heart operations. He is the first surgeon in Bangladesh to insert a mechanical heart into a 42-year-old woman’s heart.

On the occasion of World Heart Day, United Healthcare Services Limited is holding a week-long social awareness campaign. It includes awareness seminars in various clubs and corporate offices, online and Facebook live webinars, and the involvement and advice of specialist doctors from United Cardiac Care Center in various televised discussions.
