Bollywood superstar Salman Khan turned 59 today, a milestone he planned to celebrate with the teaser release of his much-anticipated film Sikandar. However, the sudden demise of former Indian Prime Minister Manmohan Singh on the eve of the planned release led to a heartfelt decision by the film’s producers to postpone the teaser out of respect.
In an official statement, the production house said, “In light of the passing of the respected former Prime Minister Manmohan Singh ji, we regret to announce that the teaser release of Sikandar has been rescheduled. It will now be unveiled tomorrow, December 28, at 11:07 AM IST.”
Salman, a festival favorite in Bollywood, has made Eid synonymous with blockbuster releases. Although he skipped this year’s Eid, he promised fans an “Eidi” next year, confirming Sikandar will hit theaters during Eid 2024.
Despite receiving multiple death threats over recent months, including an attempted attack outside his Galaxy residence in April, Salman remains unfazed, dedicating himself to Sikandar. This film marks his first collaboration with Rashmika Mandanna, further heightening fan excitement.
As Bollywood mourns a respected leader, Salman Khan continues to focus on delivering yet another cinematic masterpiece for his fans.
