On a chilly winter evening, Dhaka witnessed an unforgettable musical experience as Rahat Fateh Ali Khan graced the Army Stadium stage. The renowned Pakistani singer greeted the audience in Bengali, saying, “Assalamu Alaikum. Bangladesh, I love you,” setting the tone for an evening of mesmerizing music.
The Echos of Revolution concert, jointly organized by Spirits of July and Skytracker Limited, aimed to support the July Shaheed Smriti Foundation. Proceeds from ticket sales were dedicated to families of martyrs and the injured, with Rahat and his team performing without remuneration.
The event opened with a Qawwali performance by Silsila, followed by rappers Hannan and Sezan, whose revolutionary songs Awaj Uda and Kotha Ko stirred the crowd. Rock band Aftermath energized the audience with hits like Adhikar and Matir Rod.
Chirkutt added an emotional touch, opening with the national anthem and performing crowd favorites like More Jabo and Ahare Jibon. Vocalist Sumi expressed pride in supporting a noble cause, dedicating blessings to the martyrs.
Artcell closed the show with Tirhara Ei Dhew-er Shagor and their signature tracks, creating a patriotic crescendo. The event blended music and humanity, leaving the audience inspired and united.
