The much-anticipated film Pushpa: The Rule, directed by Sukumar, was released on 5th December and has created a storm at the box office. From general audiences to critics, the film has received widespread praise.
The online edition of West Bengal’s media outlet Sangbad Pratidin wrote about Pushpa 2: “Some parts of the first half are slow-paced. However, the second half is gripping and packed with action, where it hints at Pushpa 3: The Rampage. The heart and soul of the movie is, undoubtedly, Allu Arjun. Watching him reminds one of Vinod Khanna from the 1980s film Dayavan.”
Critic Baradwaj Rangan, on his YouTube channel Galatta Plus, stated, “Allu Arjun is phenomenal in the film. The rivalry between Allu Arjun and Fahadh Faasil is brilliant, but the film loses momentum when new antagonists are introduced.”
On his YouTube channel Aritra’s Gyaan, Aritra shared, “Every scene in the movie is enjoyable. The entire film is thrilling. It’s not just about action; the whole movie is a battle of wits. Allu Arjun is outstanding, and after watching, you’ll agree he deserves a National Award for this performance.” He also praised Rashmika Mandanna’s performance in the film.
Indian media outlet News18 rated Pushpa 2 a perfect 5 out of 5, writing, “Allu Arjun’s performance is unmissable.”
Another outlet, DNA, gave the movie 4.5 out of 5, stating, “The film has added a new dimension to commercial cinema and has completely fulfilled fans’ expectations.”
On the other hand, Pinkvilla rated the movie 3.5 out of 5, commenting, “The film is fully packed with commercial elements, including Allu Arjun’s heroic performance, incredible action, and fun moments. However, the screenplay could have been better.”
It’s clear from Pushpa 2 that Pushpa 3 is on the horizon. Reports suggest that in the upcoming movie, Pushpa might appear in Japan. To uncover that story, fans will have to wait a little longer.
