Today, a celebration of Bangladesh’s cultural heritage titled, Victory Evening: Blend with ‘Banglar Pitha’, took place at Justice Shahabuddin Park in Gulshan from 5:30 pm to 8:00 pm. Organized by the “Bangladesh Artist Forum” and supported by the “Ministry of Foreign Affairs,” this event aimed to spotlight our country’s rich heritage and history.
The “Victory Evening: Blend with ‘Banglar Pitha” was set to be a grand gathering of cultural personalities, media representatives, and diplomats who came together to celebrate the vibrant culture and heritage of Bangladesh.
Highlights of the Event:
The event embraced various cultural personalities in attendance, including key media persons, artists, musicians, and performers who added a special touch to the evening with their contributions. Renowned artists such as “Baul” graced the event with captivating musical performances.
Furthermore, diplomats and representatives from various diplomatic missions were also present at the celebration, underlining the importance of cultural diplomacy.
Prominent figures in attendance comprised Heru Hartanto Subolo, the Indonesian Ambassador to Bangladesh, Mirko from the Italian Embassy, Tokareva Olga from the Russian Embassy, and various others. Distinguished freedom fighters such as Ruhul Amin Mazumder, Bicchu Jalal, and Abdus Sattar, along with renowned TV personalities like Tushar Khan, Riaz Uddin Ahamed Siddique, Nipun Akhter, Ankhi Alamgir, and others also added to the grandeur of the occasion.Top of Form
In addition to the aforementioned, Mayor Mohammad Atikur Rahman of Dhaka North City attended the event, shedding light on the current state of Dhaka city and its developmental journey. He took the stage alongside TV personalities and singers to showcase his favorite song, “Jodi Rat Pohale Shona Jeto.”
Event Activities:
The “Victory Evening: Blend with ‘Banglar Pitha’” featured a range of activities and performances, including the Pitha Festival, Musical Evening with renowned artists, Historic Photo Exhibition showcasing rare photographs of the Liberation War, Cultural Exhibition highlighting Bangladesh’s diverse culture, Jatra Performance, Magic show, and showcase of artisans’ craftsmanship, including Nokshikatha and handloom items. The event aimed to celebrate the rich cultural heritage of Bangladesh and deepen attendees’ appreciation for the nation’s culture and history.
On the sideline of the event, a book titled “The Indomitable Triumph: Bangladesh’s Remarkable Strides in Poverty Alleviation” was launched. The book encapsulates Bangladesh’s monumental journey, chronicling its transformation from dire poverty to a beacon of progress.
Through visionary leadership and strategic initiatives, the nation achieved an astounding reduction in poverty rates, showcasing a compelling story of resilience and determination in combating societal challenges. This book illuminates Bangladesh’s holistic approach, highlighting the path towards sustained economic growth and prosperity for its citizens.
The event reached its pinnacle with the enchanting rendition of Baul sangeet.
