Traveling from Chittagong to Singapore or a Sri Lankan port to Italy normally takes 24 to 28 days. In certain circumstances, it now takes 30 to 35 days because it is too late to hire a large ship in Singapore or Sri Lanka. However, for the first time, a direct shipping connection between Chittagong and Italy is cutting the time it takes for commodities to be exported from Bangladesh to Italy.
