Artificial intelligence continues to revolutionize industries, but concerns linger about its impact on business functions and digital testing. In customer experience (CX) and quality assurance, fears persist that AI-driven systems might not only produce subpar results but also threaten human jobs.AI’s role in digital testing tools is growing, with predictions from Gartner suggesting that by 2027, 80% of enterprises will have integrated AI-augmented testing tools into their software engineering processes.
The software testing market is also expected to grow at a 5% CAGR from 2023 to 2027, which has raised concerns about potential job losses among human testers. Critics worry that reliance on AI could compromise testing accuracy and disrupt the business software supply chain. However, Tal Barmeir, co-founder of AI-powered software testing firm BlinqIO, disagrees with these fears. Barmeir envisions a future where AI doesn’t replace human testers but rather transforms them into “AI-assisted testers,” allowing them to boost their productivity and focus on more complex tasks.“While AI integration in software testing is increasing, I think it is unlikely to replace human testers completely,” Barmeir explained to TechNewsWorld.
She highlighted that AI excels at repetitive, data-intensive tasks, which frees up human testers to tackle scenarios that demand critical thinking and decision-making skills. According to Barmeir, this collaborative approach could enhance both CX and QA without leading to job cuts.
