The announcement of the formation of the Election Manifesto Committee came just before the party’s President and Prime Minister, Sheikh Hasina, embarked on her visit to the United States to participate in the United Nations General Assembly session. Dr. Salim Mahmud, currently serving as the Secretary of Information and Research on the Central Executive Committee of the Bangladesh Awami League, boasts a rich and diverse background. As an educationist and professor at Dhaka University, he brings a wealth of knowledge and experience to the committee. Additionally, Dr. Mahmud is recognized as an international energy expert and a prominent national political figure.
His contributions to education include the founding of Palakhal Rostam Ali Degree College in Kachua, Chandpur, Bangladesh, demonstrating his commitment to the betterment of society through education.
