The involvement of students in politics has shaped the history of our country since the British era. It was students who contributed significantly to achieve our major political milestones. Student politics has produced great leaders creating a democratic legacy. But there is also due criticism of some student politicians being stained by violence, extortion, and corrupt practices. The call of banning student politics cannot be a solution, we should rather accept optimism surrounding the culture of student politics – thereby rejecting negativity

It was shocking to learn that Bangladesh is the most air-polluted country in the world. The environmental and health-related effects of such a degree of air pollution can become a major hurdle to our sustainable socio-economic growth, if not addressed promptly.
Strong policies, their implementation, and regulation to curb air pollution should be done with utmost sincerity. The public and private sectors should come together to fight the issue in unison.

In our society, a woman has to face a lot of struggle and undue social stigma to reach the pinnacle of success in her field of work. The question to be asked, is our society doing enough to negate the social stigmas? Are we doing enough to protect our women’s health and socio-economic status? We are celebrating women’s stride and success in contemporary times pretty often. Not so long ago, our champion girls paraded with us in open-roof bus in celebration. There should be no room for complacency that we need to keep working on women’s empowerment in its truest sense.

The alarming electoral success of far-right parties and figures around the world after decades of liberal political and economic hegemony is begging a lot of questions to be answered. It is important to understand the reasons and strategies behind this scary phenomenon. The geopolitical impact of the far-rights’ success can have on the existing world order is a concern for many. If we want to avoid the far-right ideology to reach our shores, we should take cautionary measures to counter them.
