Possibility of PM’s Visit to India on Narendra Modi’s Invitation

According to an official, an invitation to Bangladeshi Prime Minister Sheikh Hasina to visit India in 2022 has been issued by Indian Prime Minister Narendra Modi to commemorate the 50th anniversary of diplomatic ties.

  • On Wednesday Foreign Secretary Masud Bin Momen is scheduled to go to India.
  • Mr Momen will travel to Chennai first, after that he will travel to New Delhi.

The two countries are currently preparing more activities, including preparations for Prime Minister Sheikh Hasina’s visit to India at a convenient date this year in order to give Dhaka-Delhi ties a boost, Officials claimed. Topics like border security, the field of trade, the Teesta river etc are expected to be discussed during the visit.

On Wednesday Foreign Secretary Masud Bin Momen is planning to go to India. while he is in New Delhi, two sides are expected to begin discussions. Mr Momen will travel to Chennai first, after which he will travel to New Delhi.

On February 24, the foreign secretary will also meet with his Indian equivalent Harsh Vardhan Shringla for bilateral discussions.
