These representatives of different bodies were present at various project sites in order to hand over the houses to the parties. With the houses, they also handed over the related other documents, like house certificates, land documents, etc. Across the country, beneficiaries from about 493 upazillas got these documents and houses at a time.

Among the total of 4 phases, Prime Minister Sheikh Hasina has distributed 63,999 houses in the first phase of the project. After that, the PM distributed 53,330 houses and 59,133 houses, respectively, in the second and third phases of this Ashrayan-2 project of the PM office.

After distributing 39,365 houses to homeless people in several areas of Bangladesh in the 4th phase, the total number stood at 215,827 aggregately.

Ashrayan Project is continuing its business from 1997 to till now. Since then, the Bangladesh government has delivered houses to a total of 5,54,597 families as part of this project.
