UK’s Chancellor Rishi Sunak and Health Secretary Sajid Javid announcement of quitting Prime Minister Boris Johnson’s cabinet amid a row over the handling of misconduct claims against ex-Deputy Chief Whip Chris Pincher. Mr. Javid addressed to PM Johnson, “I regret to say, however, that it is clear to me that this situation will not change under your leadership, and you have therefore lost my confidence too.”
Pincher was suspended as a Tory MP last week after being accused of sexual misconduct while being drunk. But the news will be a big blow for Boris Johnson’s premiership. He survived a vote of confidence in British Parliament last month by a very thin margin. He has been fined for breaking Covid-19 restriction rules by attending drunken parties.
