China Communications Construction Company Limited (CCCC) has been chosen as the entity to collect the toll of the Bangabandhu Sheikh Mujibur Rahman Tunnel under Karnaphuli River in Chattogram district after the government approval.
A meeting in this regard, held virtually by Finance Minister AHM Mustafa Kamal, has approved the proposal.
Cabinet Division Additional Secretary Md Zillur Rahman Chowdhury briefed journalists after the meeting.
He said the Cabinet approved a proposal of the Bridges Division to appoint the CCCC as service provider and operator for toll collection activities of the Bangabandhu Sheikh Mujibur Rahman Tunnel under the Karnaphuli River in Chattogram district.
