Israel has intensified its offensive in southern Lebanon, targeting areas with large civilian populations, including Palestinian refugee camps. At least 1,400 Lebanese people, including civilians, medics and Hezbollah fighters, have been killed and 1.2 million – about a quarter of the population – have been driven from their homes since fighting escalated.
The brutal airstrikes and ground operations of Israel have caused significant civilian suffering, with residents caught in the crossfire, highlighting the ongoing struggles of those impacted by Israel’s military attacks.
In response to Israel’s intensified offensive, Hezbollah has vowed retaliation and pledged to resist Israeli advances.
