Tollywood superstar Ram Charan, renowned for his explosive success in RRR, has returned to the big screen with his latest release Game Changer, co-starring Kiara Advani. The film, released last Friday, marks a significant milestone in his career as it fulfilled his long-cherished dream of working with director S. Shankar.
At a promotional event in Mumbai, Ram Charan shared his admiration for Shankar, revealing how he once lacked the courage to approach the filmmaker. He recounted attending the Telugu release event of Shankar’s Nanban (the Tamil remake of 3 Idiots) where he was the chief guest, seated beside Shankar. Though he wished to ask for a collaboration, he couldn’t muster the courage back then.
Years later, the dream materialized when producer Dil Raju informed Charan during the shoot of RRR that Shankar wanted to meet him. Recalling the emotional moment, Charan said, “I couldn’t believe it when Shankar Sir offered me this film. It was a dream come true.”
Dismissing comparisons between S. Shankar and RRR director SS Rajamouli, Charan emphasized their unique styles, calling both collaborations a blessing that enriched him as an actor. Charan, now returning to the pan-Indian space after four years, expressed his commitment to completing films faster while prioritizing powerful storytelling.
