Salman Khan’s much-awaited film Sikandar, directed by A.R. Murugadoss, has taken the internet by storm with its explosive teaser. Released last Saturday afternoon, the action-packed teaser has shattered multiple records, becoming a global sensation on social media.
Within just 24 hours, Sikandar amassed over 42 million views on YouTube, trending at number one and surpassing Allu Arjun’s Pushpa 2 and Shah Rukh Khan’s Dunki. With an average of 2 million views per hour, it is now the second most-viewed Bollywood teaser within 24 hours, only behind Prabhas’s Adipurush, which holds the record with 69 million views.
This milestone marks a personal best for Salman Khan, as Sikandar becomes his first teaser to cross 39 million views, overtaking his previous record with Bharat (21.5 million views). The teaser has also secured fifth place in the all-time top 10 most-viewed Indian film teasers, dominated by Prabhas’s Salaar Part 1: Ceasefire with 83 million views.
The film stars Rashmika Mandanna and Kajal Aggarwal opposite Salman Khan and is set to release during Eid 2025. With its unprecedented success, Sikandar promises to be one of Bollywood’s biggest blockbusters.
