Meta CEO Mark Zuckerberg dined with Donald Trump on Wednesday at the president-elect’s Mar-a-Lago estate in Florida, marking a rare meeting between the tech mogul and the 47th US president. This dinner, which included other members of Trump’s team, focused on discussions about the incoming administration.
Stephen Miller, appointed deputy chief of staff for Trump’s second term, stated that Zuckerberg, like many business leaders, intends to support Trump’s economic initiatives. The tech executive has been working to reshape Meta’s image among conservative circles, following a strained relationship with Trump, particularly after Facebook banned him in the wake of the January 6 Capitol riot. Trump’s account was reinstated in early 2023.
A Meta spokesperson confirmed the dinner but did not elaborate on specific details of the conversation. Despite no public endorsement from Zuckerberg during the 2024 campaign, Miller emphasized that Zuckerberg seeks to back Trump’s vision for the country’s future.
