Directed by Anonno Mamun, the film has been hailed for breaking the norms of Bangladeshi cinema and rejuvenating theaters outside the Eid season.
The film opened in 83 theaters in its first week, with more expected to join as demand grows. In multiplexes, *Dorod* outperformed Shakib’s earlier film, *Toofan*, which earned BDT 29.61 lakh on its first day during Eid.
With stellar performances from a star-studded cast, including Payel Sarkar and Rahul Dev, *Dorod* is being lauded as a step forward for Bangladesh’s film industry, sparking hopes for a vibrant future in cinema.
