Bangladesh’s Dr. Yunus-led unconstitutional government has deployed 191 platoons of the Border Guard Bangladesh (BGB) across the country fearing the mass people’s participation along with the Awami League workers and supporters in the capital city Dhaka today.
They have tightened up the security since Saturday night.
Law enforcement officers have been stationed in front of key locations, including the Secretariat, and patrols have been increased in various areas. Some places have also set up checkpoints.
This has happened as the Awami League announced a program on their verified Facebook page, calling for people to gather at Zero Point on November 10 to “restore democracy.”
In response, the Anti-Discrimination Student Movement declared a counter-mass gathering at the same location to dash-out AL’s democratic rights for a rally and since last night, hundreds of so-called student muscle force and citizens had taken positions at the capital’s Zero Point. Some of the protesters have also identified themselves as members of Shahbagh Jubo Dal and Paltan Jubo Dal, the youth wings of BNP.
Around 10 a.m. today, a group of violent protesters brutally beat up ordinary people around alleging them AL supporters.
