Hurricane Milton, currently a Category 5 storm, is expected to make landfall near Tampa Bay late tonight or early Wednesday morning (Eastern Time). The storm has maximum sustained winds of about 155 mph and is anticipated to bring a potentially deadly storm surge to Florida’s Gulf Coast. Florida authorities have issued evacuation orders for several counties, and a state of emergency remains in effect as the storm approaches.
