Awami League has unveiled the names of the party candidates who will contest the 12th parliamentary election on November 26.

Awami League General Secretary Obaidul Quader announced the names of the candidates at a press conference at the party’s headquarters situated on Bangabandhu Avenue in the capital.

Awami League finalized the list of nominees at the meetings of the party’s parliamentary board with Prime Minister Sheikh Hasina in the chair.

A total of 3,362 aspirants collected the nomination forms of Awami League to contest the next election.

According to the polls schedule, candidates will have to file their nomination with the Election Commission by November 30 and voting for the 12th parliamentary election will be held on January 7, 2024.
