After a series loss against the ODI world champion England team, the Bangladesh team will play three more T-20 games starting tomorrow. The Shakib Al Hasan-led Bangladesh team will thus look forward to gaining victories against the English three lions.

Though Bangladesh’s previous records against England are not that good, the team will now hope to get something new in this format with a mixture of new and veteran stars.

The high of victory in last ODI

England may have lost the final one-day international against Bangladesh on Monday, but the match was not without its positives for the visitors. Despite the defeat, England was able to gain valuable insights into their players thanks to the opportunity presented by a dead rubber with the series already won.

In particular, Jos Buttler, the England captain, chose to use the match as an opportunity to experiment with his team selection. One of the notable changes he made was to give a white-ball debut to the teenage leg-spinner Rehan Ahmed. Ahmed was given a full allocation of 10 overs, and he made the most of the opportunity, taking a wicket with his last ball. His performance will have given the England selectors some food for thought as they look to build a strong spin bowling attack for the future.

Another player who was given a chance to shine was Sam Curran. Curran showed his versatility with the bat, scoring a patient 23 off 49 deliveries. While his innings may not have been the most fluent, it showed that he is capable of adapting to different situations and playing different roles for the team. Curran has already established himself as a valuable asset to the England side with his left-arm swing bowling, and his ability to contribute with the bat adds another dimension to his game.

First bilateral T20 series against England

Interestingly, despite playing 144 T20 matches since their entry into the format in 2006, the Bangladesh team has faced England only once. This statistic highlights the rarity of the opportunity for the two teams to compete against each other in the T20 format, making the upcoming series all the more exciting.

The only T20 match played between Bangladesh and England in the past 17 years took place during the 2021 T20 World Cup in the United Arab Emirates. Although this match was not too long ago, it highlights the lack of opportunities for the two teams to compete against each other in this format.

However, the upcoming bilateral series between Bangladesh and England in the T20 format is set to change that. This series will mark the first time that the two teams will play a bilateral series against each other in the T20 format. It is a significant milestone for both teams and is expected to provide a platform for more opportunities to compete against each other in the future.

What are practice sessions indicating?

As the Bangladesh cricket team gears up for the upcoming T20 match against England, the team has been busy preparing for the match with indoor and outdoor practice sessions.

The team has seen practicing in Sagarika on the eve of the third ODI. In addition to this, the team has also been practicing indoors between matches to ensure that they are in top form for the T20 match.

However, Bangladesh’s national cricket team took a much-needed break from their rigorous training schedule on Tuesday but were back in action the very next day.

How Tiger’s T20 squad is looking up?

There is a marked difference between the ODI and T20 teams, with a few players getting a chance after winning the Bangladesh Premier League (BPL) and a few others returning to the national team after a period of absence.

The list of players who have been left out is quite long, indicating the intense competition for places in the team. Shamim Hossain Patwari and Rony Talukder have made their way back into the national team after impressive performances in the Bangladesh Premier League (BPL). Tanvir Islam, who played for the BPL champion Comilla Victorians, has also been given a chance in the national team for the first time. Tawhid Hridoy, who made his way to the ODI team after the BPL, is now part of the T20 series. Additionally, Rezaur Rahman Raja has been given a spot on the short version team for the first time.

However, there are also some notable exclusions from the team that played in the T20 World Cup in Australia. Soumya Sarkar, Yasir Ali Rabbi, Mosaddek Hossain Saikat, Shariful Islam, and Ibadat Hossain have all been left out of the squad for the upcoming T20 match. It remains to be seen how the team will fare without these players, but fans are eagerly awaiting the upcoming match to find out.
